Fibromyalgia Massage Tips

The Cane

The cane is wonderful. But go easy on it at first.  You can press and hold, like in acupressure, or gently rock a little. Don’t overdo it on trigger points that are frozen in position for God-only-knows how many years!

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome usually goes into Fibromyalgia if not corrected early enough. At least ours did. We started off with a CFS, CFIDS diagnosis. Most Doctor’s now group the CFS, CFIDS, and Fibromyalgia together. They say if you have one, you usually have the others. It just depends upon the symptom of the day, which label you start off with. I have a theory, that CFS/CFIDS gets worse and develops into Fibromyalgia if it’s not corrected earlier, but more on that later in some other post.

You know you have overtaxed your triggerpoint, and immune system, if it is swollen the next day. Even if it does feel so much better.  Let it rest and recover.

Also be aware you can flare up triggerpoints in the arm and shoulder that is holding and using the cane. This is especially important to remember when you are desperately trying to get rid of a migraine headache, and everything and everywhere is looking for an excuse to start hurting. That’s another reason for a whole body massage.

Things keep getting better and better, just keep going……! Go back and review my posts again, if you need too.  I know that trick.  My brain fog was so thick I couldn’t turn on the burner on a stove. Some days I wondered for several seconds what my name was.  Sad but true.

Today it’s a whole ‘nother world……..  A whole new life! YAY!
